Our classes are taught by strong instructors who will guide you in every movement through a high-energy ride. We will tell you when to adjust your speed, when to add resistance, and when to change positions on the bike. A ride at ctowncycle will definitely push your endurance and increase your fitness level. Aside from burning lots of calories, you will find a strength and confidence on the bike that carries with you throughout the rest of your day.
Yes! One of the best parts of an indoor cycling class is that you set the pace. You control the resistance on your bike and can make the workout as difficult or easy as you want. Our friendly instructors will help you get properly set-up on the bike and tell you everything you need to know to feel prepared for your first ride. Don't be intimidated! Just get yourself in the door and we’ll do the rest.
As with any physical activity, there is a risk of injury associated with indoor cycling. Upon becoming a ctowncycle member, you agree to take full responsibility for your actions within the class and shall work within your own limits. Always consult your physician before beginning any exercise program. If you experience any pain or difficulty with these exercises, stop and consult your healthcare provider. Furthermore, please notify your instructor of any injuries you may be suffering from so modifications can be made.
Bring a water bottle and a positive attitude and you're off to a good start! Towels and a filtered water cooler are provided at the studio. You can wear your sneakers on our bikes, but we highly recommend using cycling shoes. You can rent a pair from us for $3 per class. We have a limited selection of sizes, so please arrive early to make sure you can get the pair you need.
Classes are pretty sweaty so make sure you are dressed in proper fitness attire. Sweat-wicking clothes are highly recommended. Bottled water is also sold at the front desk. All participants will need to sign an exercise waiver upon attending their first class. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must sign this form before you can take any of our classes. Please bring yourself free of outside distractions, including cell phones. These distract other riders and will not be permitted in the bike room.
We recommend reserving a bike for each class. This will enable you to plan your exercise schedule ahead of time and guarantee a bike for yourself, especially at peak times. A waiting list will automatically be generated when class is full and you will receive an email if someone cancels and a spot opens up for you! You are more than welcome to try to walk-in to any class, but space is not guaranteed. Availability can always be checked ahead of time on our website.
Furthermore, please arrive to class 10 to 15 minutes before start time. You will need time to set up your bike, especially if you are new and need help from the instructor. Waitlisted members will be given bikes 3 minutes prior to the start of class if open bikes are available.
You may cancel a class up to 4 hours before start time. This enables us to allow riders on the wait-list ample time to plan their day (or bedtime) and make appropriate arrangements to get to class. If you do not cancel within the 4 hour window you will forfeit the class credit. If you hold a monthly or yearly membership, a fee of $10 will be charged. No exceptions.
We have benches/cubbies/coat racks where riders can stash their bags during their workout. Changing rooms are available as well as restrooms, but we do not offer showers.

We are located at 20 City Square - Boston, MA 02129. There is two-hour free parking along Main Street, Chelsea Street, Warren Street, Henley Street and Park Street in Charlestown.
Check out our directions page for more specific directions. There is also a Hubway station directly across the street on Warren Street near Constitution Wharf for 9 months out of the year.
The club is accessible by the 92 and 93 MBTA buses and green and orange line at North Station. Please visit the MBTA for specific schedules.
